Homeopathic practitioners believe that a drug that can cure a patient, is capable of causing a similar disease in a person who is healthy. Most homeopaths cite the example of the use of a small dose of red onion, which normally causes a runny nose and itchy eyes to treat a cold, and it brings the same symptoms.
It is very difficult for most people to understand homeopathy, however, the trend toward this type of medicine is growing in the U.S. because some patients feel confused with some forms of traditional medicine and are seeking more natural ways to treat their afflictions.
In fact, homeopathy uses only natural remedies, specifically, ultra-diluted doses of substances such as plant extracts, minerals, and a variety of other substances found in nature. The original substance is diluted in the water several times and shaken vigorously after each dilution. As a result, the patient receives only very small quantities, which makes this type of treatment very safe.
Homeopaths also believe that you should not treat disease, but rather a person who is ill. In other words, the homeopath believes that the substances he or she provides the patient is not going to destroy a cancerous tumor directly, but allow your body to destroy the tumor.
Homeopathy has been used traditionally to treat chronic problems like asthma or arthritis, although some cancer centers promote homeopathy as complementary therapy in patients with cancer who are treated with traditional therapies.
Some supporters of this type of medicine also believe that homeopathic remedies can cure cancer, but there is currently no scientific evidence to support these claims.
However, many cancer patients, including those struggling with malignant mesothelioma have resorted to homeopathy as it is in fact natural and do not involve prescription medications in their regimen and treatment of these side effects. Most professionals have seen evidence that homeopathic substances can help reduce the pain associated with not only cancer but also is caused by treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation for mesothelioma. Others use it to treat the debilitating effects of conventional therapies, including infection caused by a reduction in white blood cells, hair loss, nausea and vomiting, mouth sores, and weakness or fatigue.
Some mesothelioma cancer patients cite the fact that they have general welfare unasensación when taking homeopathic remedies, although these resources have no signs of curing their cancer. This is indicative of the strong mind-body connection promoted by homeopathic physicians. Many patients report in particular the disappearance or reduction of stress and depression that brings about a cancer diagnosis, so, some homeopathic remedies are used in patients with end-stage cancer, in particular, with the aim of reducing the Fear and anxiety often associated with death.
While there is no cure for mesothelioma, proponents of this type of medicine also believe that homeopathy has the ability to prevent disease.
